All living things are made up of tiny units called cells

A cell is the smallest living thing unit that makes up a living thing.
La célula es unidad más pequeña que compone a un ser vivo
  
Plant and animal cells have the following parts
La célula vegetal y la animal tienen distintas partes.  

 

• The nucleus controls the functions of the cell, such as reproduction
  El núcleo controla las funciones de la célula como la reprodución.
•   The cell membrane controls what enters and leaves the cell
  La membrana celular controla lo que entra y sale de la célula. 
•   The cytoplasm is a jelly like substance in the cell where chemical reactions happen
  El citoplasma es una sustancia gelatinosa en la célula donde se producen reacciones  químicas  
• The vacuoles contain water and minerals.
